You could just seek best in slot items, but that will be extremely difficult to do. But with gear, I recommend looking on Arreat Summit at what items you could try to acquire that tailor your character. However builds are often obvious or intuitive, such as maxing a skill with all of the synergies, plus you can always reset. Getting the required skills right could be worth looking up though, as these you have to get right. Additionally, I know it's tempting to follow a build 100%, but in my opinion it's far more fun to play without seeking a cookie cutter build. My Smiter found a Ber and my mf WW barb found 2Vex and 2Ohm. Last Ladder I played a couple years ago, I found half of my high runes on melee characters. I would just keep in mind, you don't need a meta caster character to get good gear or have fun. If you have a link to the build or gear that'd be even better :) If the build has massive setbacks e.g.: needing super perfect and hard to farm gear or being useless until you reach level 70 please include this information. It shouldn't be a build or class that ends up useless but fun, should be able to do some stuff. Good for leveling, something that will be good and fun to play through the first time for normal, nightmare and hell and could thus be useful to use to farm items for other classes.Think faceroll everything at the end, it doesn't need to explode a boss in 3 seconds but should have good all around performance. With that in mind I would like to ask veterans who distinctly remember details or kept playing Diablo 2 about class and build suggestions. Used to play a lot of Diablo 2 but that is so long ago that honestly I've forgotten most of it except that I had a lot of fun playing.
